Civil Engineer – Overlay Infrastructure (Temporary Event Facilities)

About the role

This position supports the delivery of temporary infrastructure and facilities for a high‑profile international football tournament. The engineer will assist with site setup, installation activities, supplier coordination and venue readiness to ensure overlay facilities meet operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of temporary overlay infrastructure across assigned venues.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications and material estimates for overlay works.
• Conduct site inspections, measurements and readiness checks.
• Coordinate with contractors, surveyors and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Review and interpret geotechnical and pavement condition reports to inform design decisions.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation and project cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory codes, safety standards and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional engineering license or membership with a recognized engineering body (preferred).
• Familiarity with Saudi infrastructure and construction standards (highly desirable).
• Valid iqama.
• At least 2 years of civil engineering experience focused on road or overlay infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting sporting events, tournaments or large‑scale events (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for technical drawing preparation.
• Material estimation and cost‑analysis capabilities.
• Site inspection and readiness‑check procedures.
• Knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and local infrastructure regulations.
• Quality‑assurance processes and geotechnical report interpretation.
