Civil QA/QC Engineer

About the role

The role is responsible for performing civil project quality control and assurance activities, ensuring compliance with Alfanar’s Quality Management System, client specifications and international standards. The engineer will coordinate inspections, maintain records and drive continuous improvement on construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan and Alfanar QMS, including preparation of ITPs, checklists, MOS and weekly QA/QC reports.
• Conduct inspections and testing of civil works, materials and equipment, verify compliance with drawings, specifications and approved method statements.
• Maintain quality records, logbooks, non‑conformance reports and ensure proper documentation is traceable and retrievable.
• Coordinate with the execution team, client, consultants and independent testing laboratories to resolve QC issues and obtain approvals.
• Lead the lessons‑learned program to reduce punch‑list items and support customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in civil QA/QC on construction projects.
• Proven ability to train and lead a team, delegate tasks and maintain morale.
• Strong problem‑solving, compliance and health‑safety awareness.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office for reporting and documentation.
• Risk assessment and analysis capabilities.
