Commis Chef – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join the culinary team at Fairmont The Red Sea, a new ultra‑luxury resort in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project. As a Commis Chef you will support the kitchen in delivering 5‑star dining experiences while learning from seasoned chefs in a world‑class environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily mise en place and ingredients according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
• Follow portion‑control, stock‑management, and food‑safety procedures.
• Assist during service and adapt preparations to guest preferences.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene regulations.
• Inspect and sanitize food‑preparation areas regularly.
• Stay updated on new products, recipes, and techniques.
• Participate in kitchen briefings and report any issues to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a basic culinary role.
• Knowledge of a variety of culinary techniques.
• Culinary certificate preferred.
• Understanding of ultra‑luxury guest expectations and brand standards.
• Regional experience is mandatory; pre‑opening experience is a plus.
• Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with luxury standards.
