Configuration Control Engineer – Military MRO

About the role

The Configuration Control Engineer will implement and execute Configuration Management processes for high‑visibility Military MRO programs in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day technical configuration control of military platforms, ensuring baselines are accurate, traceable and compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 10007 and Saudi military policies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the ISO 10007‑compliant Configuration Management Plan and propose updates as workflows evolve.
• Build, maintain and control functional, allocated and product baselines in SolidWorks PDM and associated PLM/ERP systems.
• Perform configuration identification, change control, status accounting and verification for hardware, software and documentation.
• Process Engineering Change Requests, Engineering Change Orders and Deviations, conduct impact assessments and ensure traceability.
• Prepare and manage Configuration Control Board (CCB) change packages, agendas, minutes and follow‑up actions.
• Maintain as‑designed, as‑built and as‑maintained records for every serviced platform and verify asset configuration during intake and delivery.
• Release and integrate updated drawings, 3D models and maintenance data, enforcing SolidWorks file management rules.
• Conduct Functional and Physical Configuration Audits, raise non‑conformances and generate CM metrics and dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of Configuration Management or engineering data control experience, with at least 2 years in a military, aerospace or MRO environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM (or equivalent PDM/PLM systems).
• Working knowledge of ISO 10007, engineering drawing conventions and international defence MRO best practices.
