Cost Control Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Cost Control Engineer to join our Project Controls team in Riyadh. The role supports luxury hotel, hospitality, and high‑end fit‑out projects by delivering accurate cost information, budget control, and financial forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs, budgets, forecasts, commitments and cash‑flow.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports, including variance analysis and budget status.
• Review purchase requests, orders, invoices and subcontractor commitments for cost accuracy.
• Support budget planning, cost optimisation and financial forecasting with Project Management and Commercial teams.
• Analyse cost variances, identify trends and provide early warnings of potential overruns.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Planning and Site teams to ensure consistent cost data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural or Construction Management.
• 3–7 years of experience in cost control, project controls or commercial functions within construction, fit‑out or hospitality projects.
• Proven experience on high‑end hotel, resort or interior fit‑out projects.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Experience with ERP or project cost‑control systems.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Familiarity with Power BI.
