HSE Engineer – Riyadh

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail‑oriented HSE Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role you will develop, implement and maintain comprehensive Health, Safety and Environment management systems across our operations, ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and update HSE Management Plans in line with Saudi regulations, labor laws and organizational standards.
• Create and execute monitoring schedules, including site tours, inspections, audits and safety assessments.
• Design and implement competency frameworks and training matrices for HSE teams.
• Lead and facilitate health and safety meetings, inspections and workshops, documenting observations and corrective actions.
• Review, approve and verify HSE plans, method statements, risk assessments and related deliverables from contractors.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments and develop control measures.
• Monitor HSE performance, identify non‑conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Level 5 or higher qualification in OHS (NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Level 5, NVQ Level 5, OTHM Level 6 or equivalent).
• Professional certifications such as CM/Cert‑IOSH, CSP, CRSP, MIIRSM or ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in construction, industrial, manufacturing or oil & gas sectors.
• Proven experience developing and implementing HSE management systems and conducting audits and investigations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
