Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

Qureos Inc is seeking a proactive Cyber Security Specialist to protect its digital assets and ensure compliance with national cybersecurity standards. You will work closely with the IT team to harden network defenses, monitor security events, and lead remediation efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and harden Sophos XGS firewall, including rule sets, IPS, and web/application control.
• Monitor SIEM alerts, investigate incidents, and execute response plans.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, track findings, and ensure remediation to closure.
• Secure Microsoft 365 environment using Defender, Exchange Online Protection, DLP, and Purview.
• Enforce VPN controls, MFA, and least‑privilege access policies.
• Manage endpoint protection (EPP/EDR) and maintain SSO/identity health.
• Support internal and external audits, maintain SOPs and security baselines.
• Produce regular security reports and 90‑day roadmaps for management.
• Ensure adherence to NCA Cybersecurity Controls.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for cybersecurity.
• Experience in managing firewalls, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability management tools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security suite and identity management.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
