Data & AI Governance Manager

About the role

The Data & AI Governance Manager will serve as the central authority for establishing, administering, and advancing Maaden's Data Governance Framework. This role ensures data quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance while enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the enterprise Data Governance Framework.
• Lead Data Governance operations and projects, including policy enforcement, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with business units and technical teams to align governance initiatives with corporate objectives.
• Facilitate change management for updates to data policies and processes.
• Deliver training, mentoring, and awareness programs on data governance best practices.
• Chair the Data Governance Council and coordinate activities with Data Stewards, Owners, and Champions.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as PDPL and other relevant laws.
• Monitor data quality metrics and governance KPIs, and support metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise information management.
• Proven track record of leading data governance programs in large organizations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Professional certifications such as CDMP or DCAM are preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with data governance tools, specifically Informatica and Microsoft Purview.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks.
