Data Centre Construction Manager

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is looking for an experienced Data Centre Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a mission‑critical data centre project located about 80 km north of Riyadh. This full‑time, site‑based role oversees all on‑site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets are met from mobilisation through commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the construction delivery of a large‑scale data centre, coordinating civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, ICT and ELV disciplines.
• Interface with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive site operations in line with programme, budget, quality and safety objectives.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, monitor schedules, milestones and KPIs.
• Identify risks, define mitigation measures and implement recovery strategies.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary site teams, facilitating communication between engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Support procurement planning, review material submittals, technical submissions and shop drawings.
• Work closely with design teams to resolve technical issues, participate in constructability reviews and value‑engineering initiatives.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical, electrical, ICT and ELV systems, managing punch‑list closure.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale data centre construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, ICT and ELV systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on site.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Hands‑on experience with project controls, risk management and procurement processes.
• Willingness to maintain regular on‑site presence throughout the project lifecycle.
