Data Engineering Manager (TPA)

About the role

The Data Engineering Manager (TPA) ensures the organization has reliable, well‑governed, analytics‑ready data by designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and models. This role makes trusted data available securely and cost‑effectively to support enterprise reporting, BI and data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data ingestion pipelines using Informatica IDMC, including CDC, idempotent loads, schema evolution and data‑quality gates.
• Develop reusable, parameterized mappings and task flows, and set up version control and CI/CD for data engineering assets.
• Profile source systems, define field‑level mappings, transformation rules, joins, lookups and data‑quality exception handling.
• Orchestrate workflows with Airflow, configure schedules, retries, back‑off and checkpointing, and integrate monitoring and alerting.
• Define least‑privilege IAM roles, apply row‑ and column‑level security, data masking, audit logging and retention policies for PHI/PII.
• Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), optimise BigQuery performance, monitor job health, cost and SLAs, and manage storage lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience building end‑to‑end enterprise data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform and with Informatica IDMC.
• Familiarity with healthcare data domains such as claims, providers and members is a plus.
• Strong understanding of cloud security concepts (IAM, service accounts, private endpoints).
