AI Systems Lead

About the role

Fakieh Logistics is scaling its AI‑driven operations platform that powers last‑mile and full‑chain delivery across Saudi Arabia. The AI Systems Lead will take the existing functional tooling—dashboards, driver hiring and shift monitoring, and AI agents—and turn it into a production‑grade, reliable system that supports live operations.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and harden the current data model, dashboards, automations and integrations, deciding what to keep, refactor or rebuild.
• Design and implement the agent and context layer, including personas, guidebooks, retrieval mechanisms, and evaluation pipelines to move from generic AI assistance to route‑aware, SLA‑aware agents.
• Act as the bridge between field operations and the AI stack, gathering feedback, troubleshooting issues, and delivering weekly updates.
• Ensure the stack meets operational load, data‑privacy, and client‑data obligations.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, AI engineering or a closely related field.
• Deep hands‑on experience with large language model systems, especially prompt and context engineering, agent design, retrieval‑augmented generation and evaluation.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to review and assess generated code.
• Comfort with relational databases and basic infrastructure concepts such as authentication, access control and deployment.
• Proven ability to work directly with non‑technical operators and translate messy operational realities into robust systems.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
