Director of Engineering

About the role

The Director of Engineering leads the property’s engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring safety, security, and asset protection while delivering high‑quality service to guests and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the physical plant, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems in line with SOPs.
• Develop and control the engineering budget, capital‑expenditure projects, and long‑term preventative maintenance plans.
• Oversee service contracts, fire‑crew procedures, and emergency response for facility issues.
• Ensure compliance with all state, local and federal regulations and maintain life‑safety systems.
• Supervise construction projects to meet timelines and budget constraints.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with 6 years of engineering/maintenance experience, or a 2‑year degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, etc., with 4 years of experience.
• Technical training in HVAC‑R, Electrical and Plumbing systems.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, controllable expenses and capital projects.
