Director of Maintenance

About the role

The Maintenance Director will lead all maintenance activities at our plastic manufacturing plant in Riyadh, ensuring equipment availability, reliability and safety. You will develop and execute maintenance strategies, manage budgets and drive continuous improvement to minimise downtime and support production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies for production and utility equipment.
• Lead preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programmes across extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming and recycling lines.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyse KPIs and initiate actions to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate maintenance managers, engineers, supervisors and technicians.
• Apply RCM and TPM methodologies, manage equipment lifecycle, spare‑parts inventory and capital replacement planning.
• Prepare and control the annual maintenance budget, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support CAPEX projects.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations, conduct audits and maintain safe maintenance practices.
• Drive equipment installations, upgrades, automation, Industry 4.0 and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience in the plastic manufacturing sector (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming, recycling).
