Director of Rooms Operations

About the role

The Director of Rooms Operations leads the hotel’s Rooms department, shaping strategy, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the delivery of the brand’s service standards. Reporting to senior management, this role is responsible for driving revenue, controlling costs and enhancing guest satisfaction across all rooms‑related functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with the brand’s business objectives.
• Monitor and promote room rates, specials and promotions to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Analyze service issues, audit expenses and guide the team in cost‑control initiatives.
• Review financial statements and budget performance, coaching managers to meet wage and expense targets.
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences by reviewing feedback and driving corrective actions.
• Lead, motivate and develop the Rooms team, communicating clear goals and performance expectations.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing or hotel operations management.
