About the role
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage seating flow and ensure that every guest experiences a clean and comfortable dining environment.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests, determine party size and seat them at clean, prepared tables.
- Arrange tables, chairs and settings, providing each guest with a napkin, silverware and a current menu.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area throughout the shift, following clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
- Monitor seating availability, safety and guest well‑being, reporting any incidents to the manager.
- Follow uniform standards, safety policies and confidentiality requirements.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- No prior related work experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
- Professional appearance and clear communication skills.
