Engineering Director

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to provide strategic leadership and technical direction for a multidisciplinary engineering organization delivering complex construction management projects in Saudi Arabia. The role combines people management, resource planning, and technical oversight to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and structure engineering teams to align with project requirements.
• Approve staffing budgets, resource plans, and assignment schedules across multiple projects.
• Monitor quality, progress, and performance, ensuring delivery targets are met.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve staffing, quality, schedule, and productivity challenges.
• Develop and maintain discipline‑specific standards, procedures, and technical manuals.
• Prepare annual salary plans and manage salary actions within approved frameworks.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, development, performance management, and onboarding.
• Support pre‑contract and business development activities with senior technical guidance.
• Manage overhead budgets and promote efficient resource deployment.
• Champion continuous improvement through the Quality Improvement Program.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive leadership and managerial experience in engineering, preferably within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and complex budgets.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
