Environmental Engineer - EXPO

About the role

Bechtel is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support the Expo 2030 Riyadh infrastructure program. The role focuses on integrating specialized environmental requirements throughout planning, permitting, design, and construction phases of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the integration of environmental requirements into project planning, permitting, design, and construction.
• Develop and implement the environmental inspection program under the direction of the Environmental Manager.
• Provide technical oversight of environmental compliance activities and identify inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with construction leads and HSE managers to ensure environmental requirements are addressed in work products.
• Work with the Environmental Manager to deliver targeted training on environmental compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in environmental compliance and inspection within large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary construction and HSE teams.
• Strong understanding of sustainability standards related to urban afforestation, treated water and energy sources.
