Field Engineer – Fire, Life, Safety

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Field Engineer specializing in fire, life and safety systems to join AECOM’s Riyadh team. The role involves inspecting, testing and maintaining fire detection, alarm and suppression equipment across commercial and industrial sites while ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections and functional testing of fire detection, alarm and suppression systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration and replacement of emergency lighting and exit signage.
• Diagnose technical issues, implement corrective actions and document all activities.
• Prepare detailed inspection and maintenance reports and communicate findings to clients.
• Schedule and coordinate field visits to meet project timelines and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate service history and compliance records for all equipment.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant codes, standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in fire safety systems inspection, testing and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian safety regulations and international fire safety standards.
• Proven ability to work independently in the field with meticulous attention to safety protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
