Testing & Commissioning Engineer – 380kV Substation

About the role

We are seeking a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead the testing and commissioning of a 380kV substation in Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring all protection equipment functions correctly and meets client specifications before hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Test main advanced relays, backup relays and auxiliary relays independently on BSP projects.
• Operate relay software applications and primary/secondary current injection kits.
• Read, verify and improve protection schemes on‑site.
• Coordinate testing activities with internal and external stakeholders, meeting tight deadlines.
• Produce, review and compile all testing and commissioning documentation for the site test dossier.
• Monitor progress, record test results, witness final testing and acceptance of equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8‑15 years of experience in testing and commissioning of EHV substations.
• Minimum 5 years experience on 380kV substation projects in Saudi Arabia or GCC.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, leadership and coordination abilities.
• Effective communication with clients and consultants, high commitment to safety and quality.
