Field Service Specialist - Gas Turbines - Steel Plate Fitter

About the role

The Field Service Specialist for Gas Turbines will perform complex on‑site maintenance, repair and modification activities on large turbine units across Saudi Arabia and internationally. You will ensure safe, reliable operation of gas turbines while applying specialised mechanical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Execute advanced maintenance, repair and modification tasks on Advanced Frame (4000F) and V‑Frame (2000E) gas turbines.
• Interpret and follow engineering drawings, installation schematics and work instructions.
• Lead and supervise subcontractors, conduct risk assessments and enforce PPE use.
• Prepare detailed maintenance reports, quality records and technical documentation.
• Perform critical mechanical work such as alignment of transitions, cooling‑air system adjustments, flame‑tube installation, and burner component fitting.
• Carry out metal‑cutting, grinding, forming and welding‑preparation activities on steel plates.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Steel Plate Fitter on large gas turbines.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 70 % of the time (200‑250 days per year) and work day/night shifts.
• Training in Foreign Material Exclusion (FME), Confined Space Entry and Working at Height.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multicultural teams.
