H-60 Helicopter Engine Drivetrain Mechanic / Aviation Machinist Mate

About the role

The position provides field and sustainment level maintenance support for MH-60R helicopters in Saudi Arabia. The mechanic will work in specialized shops and on the flight line, performing inspection, repair, and fabrication of propulsion and drive chain components.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair major assemblies, sub‑assemblies and LRUs of the MH‑60R power plant, including engines, APUs, fuel cells, tail rotor, and tail drive shaft.
• Perform inspection, troubleshooting, fault isolation and corrective actions on power‑plant, transmission, rotor, fuel and oil systems, following technical directives and safety procedures.
• Operate and maintain ground support equipment, precision tools and ensure accurate completion of forms, records and reports (NAMP).
• Provide on‑the‑job training to Saudi technicians and maintain related training records.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience performing complex helicopter mechanical work on H‑60 aircraft.
• Valid A&P license, QAR, CDQAR or TI qualification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) background investigation, drug test and possibly a secret clearance.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with MH‑60R power‑plant systems, engines and auxiliary power units.
• Proficiency with IMDS/HUMS vibration diagnostic systems and IVHMU data analysis.
• Knowledge of NAMP documentation and maintenance forms.
• Ability to use and maintain specialized ground support and precision tools.
