Financial Control & Reporting Senior Specialist

About the role

The Financial Control & Reporting Senior Specialist operates with minimal supervision to design, implement and monitor the ZATCA financial control and reporting framework. This role ensures consistent financial processes, prepares comprehensive reports, and supports strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor and assess ZATCA financial control and reporting framework, guidelines, governance and methodology.
• Review ZATCA financial processes and policies, ensuring efficient implementation by finance functions.
• Conduct periodic financial audits on accounts, statements, reports and budgets to identify discrepancies.
• Develop contingency plans for unexpected funding drops and provide recommendations to improve account structures.
• Update chart of accounts based on financial policies and decisions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounting statements, as well as weekly and ad‑hoc reports.
• Produce periodic financial reports including KPIs, budget tracking, revenue collections and other analyses.
• Collect and consolidate payables, receivables, cash flow and investments for yearly financial planning.
• Develop tax, customs and zakat revenue forecasts and communicate with stakeholders.
• Support junior staff, resolve escalated issues and ensure adherence to policies and SOPs.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of ZATCA financial control standards and reporting requirements.
• Experience conducting financial audits and preparing accounting statements.
• Proven capability to develop financial plans, forecasts and contingency strategies.
• Excellent analytical skills for discrepancy analysis and KPI reporting.
