General Accountant – Riyadh

About the role

A company in Riyadh is seeking a qualified General Accountant with a strong academic background and practical accounting experience. The role involves managing financial records, accounting entries, reconciliations, reporting, and ERP systems, while ensuring compliance with accounting procedures. Knowledge of VAT and ZATCA e‑invoicing is an added advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, accounting entries, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare, review, and record journal entries ensuring accounting accuracy.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations regularly.
• Review invoices, supporting documents, and accounting transactions.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports, account balances, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline with strong practical experience in general accounting and financial operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications; hands‑on experience with ERP and accounting systems.
• Good knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting; familiarity with VAT and ZATCA e‑invoicing is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills; high attention to detail and ability to meet accounting deadlines.
