About the role

The General Manager of Operations & Production Excellence leads the company’s manufacturing footprint, driving efficiency, quality and safety while aligning production output with strategic business goals. This senior‑management position shapes a culture of continuous improvement across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute data‑driven strategies to optimise operational performance and reduce costs.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
• Oversee budget preparation, financial planning and resource allocation for the operations function.
• Manage cross‑functional teams, mentor talent and foster a high‑performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and quality systems.
• Drive technology adoption and automation projects to boost efficiency.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to optimise procurement and supply‑chain processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of operations experience in manufacturing, with at least 7 years in senior leadership.
• Proven record of delivering operational excellence and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience managing budgets, financial planning and change‑management programmes.
