Head of Cyber Security

About the role

The Head of Cyber Security will define and lead the organisation’s cyber‑defence strategy, ensuring the protection of digital assets and compliance with global and local regulations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape risk management, data protection and resilience initiatives across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise‑wide cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals.
• Provide strategic direction for risk management, cyber resilience and data protection.
• Oversee the Security Operations Center (SOC), including incident detection, response and recovery.
• Implement advanced monitoring, threat intelligence and vulnerability management.
• Lead the Governance, Risk & Compliance function, ensuring adherence to ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR and telecom regulations.
• Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures.
• Review and enhance security architecture across IT, telecom networks and software applications.
• Integrate security into DevOps processes (DevSecOps) with development teams.
• Lead and mentor specialised cybersecurity teams (SOC, GRC, Architecture, Incident Response).
• Collaborate with executive leadership, IT and regulatory bodies to maintain cyber readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including telecom, IT and software development sectors.
• Proven track record in security governance, compliance and large‑scale incident response.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH or CCSP preferred.
