HYCO Training Specialist

About the role

The HYCO Training Specialist will design, deliver and manage technical training programs for the Operations & Maintenance teams at the Jubail HYCO Facility. The role ensures a highly skilled workforce capable of safely operating and maintaining the hydrogen production plant, including steam methane reformer, CO2 removal, MBU, PSA, STG and pipeline systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a long‑term training curriculum for all Operations & Maintenance staff.
• Provide hands‑on training during commissioning, startup and routine maintenance activities.
• Document training activities, track progress and identify competency gaps.
• Collaborate with Engineering, HR, Procurement and HSSE to align training with safety and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate document control for all training materials and records.
• Deliver advanced safety and efficiency training for senior operators.

Required profile

• Experience in technical training within an industrial gas or hydrogen production environment.
• Strong understanding of plant equipment such as SMR, CO2 removal units, MBU, PSA, STG and pipelines.
• Ability to work on‑site and support day‑to‑day operations.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts.
