Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will safeguard the integrity of financial and administrative operations by assessing internal controls, identifying risks, and recommending improvements. This role reports to senior management and supports a culture of compliance and transparency.

Key responsibilities

• Review financial records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Execute the annual internal audit plan and monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control and operational systems, proposing corrective actions.
• Identify and analyze potential risks affecting performance or reputation, providing mitigation reports.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and executive summaries for the CFO, Audit Committee, and senior leadership.
• Ensure departmental adherence to internal policies and relevant governmental regulations.
• Collaborate with various departments to facilitate audit processes and information exchange.
• Coordinate with external auditors, supplying required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing; professional certification (CPA, CIA, CMA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal or external auditing.
• Strong knowledge of internal control systems, risk management, and IIA Standards.
• Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Effective reporting and communication skills across management levels.
