IT Business Intelligence Manager

About the role

The IT Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for designing, developing, governing and continuously optimizing the enterprise BI and data platforms. The role oversees the full data lifecycle—from source extraction and integration to semantic modelling, reporting and executive analytics—ensuring insights are accurate, timely, secure and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise BI architecture across Power BI, Tableau and Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture implementation.
• Lead migration of reporting assets from Tableau to Power BI, converting calculated fields to DAX and managing phase‑down timelines.
• Design, manage and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines with SSIS, and implement Power BI incremental refresh and query‑folding for large fact tables.
• Perform SQL Server performance tuning, query optimisation, execution‑plan analysis and data‑compression strategies.
• Administer Power BI workspaces, gateway clusters, user access, licensing and periodic access reviews; monitor activity with Microsoft Purview audit logs.
• Lead Tableau Server administration, version upgrades and run‑book documentation.
• Develop advanced DAX measures and analytical solutions for use cases such as credit aging, margin analysis and demand baselines, and translate technical logic into business‑friendly documentation.
• Prepare board‑level deliverables, executive summaries, financial analyses and presentation decks.
