Lead Solution Architect – Airport Applications

About the role

DXC Technology is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to own the application architecture across the airport landscape, covering passenger processing, common‑use, operational and business systems. The role ensures a coherent, integrated, and future‑ready application estate that supports airport operations and the passenger journey.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the application architecture for systems such as CUPPS/CUSS, AODB, RMS, FIDS and other business applications.
• Establish standards, patterns, road‑maps and guide build‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Produce design artefacts, decision records and ensure compliance with resilience, security and performance requirements.
• Govern design quality through a design authority and oversee the application portfolio.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate a team of solution architects and analysts.
• Engage with business, operational stakeholders and vendors to support estimation, planning and risk management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in application architecture on large, complex programmes.
• Strong domain knowledge of airport/aviation applications (AODB, RMS, FIDS, CUPPS/CUSS, passenger processing).
• Hands‑on expertise in integration design, product selection and cloud deployment.
• Proven ability to design for high availability, performance, resilience and security.
• Leadership and communication skills to guide teams and influence stakeholders.
