Legal and Compliance Associate

About the role

The Legal and Compliance Associate supports the organization by ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, assisting with regulatory filings, monitoring compliance, and advising internal teams on legal and ethical matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Support compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates to management.
• Prepare documentation and reports for audits, regulators, or internal reviews.
• Conduct compliance checks and risk assessments on business operations.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel when needed.
• Maintain organized records of contracts, policies, and legal correspondence.
• Support training of employees on compliance policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents.
• Ability to monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact.
• Experience preparing audit and regulatory reports.
• Proven capability to conduct compliance checks and risk assessments.
• Experience coordinating with external legal counsel.
