Legal Consultant – Commercial Contracts & Risk Management

About the role

The Legal Consultant will deliver practical legal advice and support across the organisation, concentrating on commercial contracts, risk management, governance, compliance and dispute handling. Based in Riyadh, the role works closely with multiple business functions to ensure legal soundness of operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on business operations, strategic initiatives and commercial matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements such as services, procurement, construction, leasing, partnerships, NDAs and MOUs.
• Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Support corporate governance, internal approvals, legal memos and compliance requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on business impact.
• Assist in disputes, claims and litigation in coordination with internal teams and external counsel.
• Prepare legal summaries, position notes, documentation packs and case files.
• Advise on liability, indemnities, warranties, limitations and contractual risk allocation.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Investment, Projects, HR and Operations teams.
• Develop and improve contract templates, clause libraries and legal processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (or equivalent) with 6–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in investment groups or complex commercial environments.
• Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Good knowledge of Saudi laws and regulations applicable to business operations.
• Excellent Arabic legal drafting skills and strong English communication abilities.
• High integrity, confidentiality and governance awareness.
