Legal Counsel – Construction Disputes & Claims (4-6 yrs PQE)

About the role

Join the in‑house legal team of a leading developer in Riyadh, supporting a portfolio of large‑scale construction and infrastructure projects. You will provide strategic advice on contentious matters, manage claims and disputes, and help ensure the successful delivery of high‑value developments.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on construction disputes, claims, arbitrations and settlements.
• Draft, review and negotiate construction, commercial and project agreements.
• Support contract administration, claims management and dispute‑avoidance strategies.
• Provide practical legal guidance on commercial and contractual risk.
• Manage external counsel and specialist advisers.
• Assist with dispute resolution, settlement negotiations and arbitration proceedings.
• Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual and legal matters.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, commercial, development and project delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, lawyer, attorney or barrister.
• 4–6 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong contentious construction background from a recognised international or regional law firm.
• Experience with major construction, infrastructure, real estate or energy projects.
• Exposure to arbitration, adjudication, litigation and complex construction claims.
• Commercially minded with pragmatic, solutions‑focused advice.
• Middle‑East experience advantageous but not essential.
