Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for all maintenance activities within a Hilton hotel, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and members. The role involves daily inspections, equipment repairs, and coordination of renovation projects to uphold Hilton’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance checks throughout the hotel.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and building systems.
• Conduct lift emergency release procedures when required.
• Develop, implement, and manage emergency and energy‑conservation programs.
• Coordinate renovation bidding, define scope and cost, and oversee contractors and subcontractors.
• Maintain all hotel fixtures and fittings in safe condition and address unsafe situations.
• Ensure monthly health‑and‑safety inspections and staff training.
• Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Good communication skills and professional grooming standards.
• Flexibility to respond to varied work situations and ability to work under pressure.
• Previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
• First‑Aid certification is advantageous.
