Medical Science Liaison (Contractor)

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will act as a scientific bridge between Allergan and healthcare professionals across Saudi Arabia and the wider MEA region. This non‑promotional, contractor position focuses on delivering balanced medical information, supporting brand strategy, and enhancing the competency of Medical Affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other HCPs.
• Lead scientific exchanges, provide education on current and pipeline Aesthetic portfolios, and report insights to cross‑functional teams.
• Organise advisory board meetings, support clinical trial feasibility, and serve as the primary medical resource for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the brand and marketing teams on tactical planning, messaging approval, and medical‑marketing alignment.
• Deliver internal and external training, thought‑leadership identification, and ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance requirements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) or PhD preferred; advanced scientific degrees (e.g., Pharmacy) considered with relevant experience.
• 2–5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, or Medical Aesthetics.
• Proven ability to build influential relationships with KOLs and understand the local Saudi market.
• Experience in medical‑affairs activities such as advisory boards, publications, and scientific exchange.
• For internal candidates: minimum 2 years at AbbVie with a successful track record.
