Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Laboratory Technician will perform routine and moderate‑complexity analyses in the Clinical Laboratory and Blood Bank, supporting patient care at Riyadh Care Hospitals and Clinics. The role includes rotating across sections, handling specimens, and ensuring quality standards under the supervision of senior technical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and assess clinical specimens in aseptic conditions for testing.
• Perform routine and moderate‑complexity tests according to SOPs, record results, and maintain QC documentation.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment daily, and document all activities.
• Prepare reagents, manage inventory, and support the validation of new procedures under senior supervision.
• Educate patients and families about laboratory processes in line with hospital policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent and current registration/licensing with the Saudi Ministry of Health.
• Minimum two years of experience performing clinical laboratory tests.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and strong interpersonal communication.
• Proficiency with computer systems and familiarity with proficiency testing and quality control practices.
