Mobile Engineering Lead

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Mobile Engineering Lead to drive the technical direction of its Companion App platform for connected vehicles. You will own the roadmap, guide a multidisciplinary team, and ensure the mobile stack meets the highest standards of performance, security and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the Companion App technical roadmap, aligning with product vision, enterprise architecture and cybersecurity requirements.
• Lead end‑to‑end technical transition activities such as source code repository migrations, CI/CD pipeline setup, cloud infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, documentation and knowledge transfer from external suppliers.
• Provide hands‑on leadership across iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin) and Backend‑for‑Frontend services, maintaining quality, performance and security.
• Implement mobile security practices including OAuth2/OpenID Connect, certificate management, API security, SSDLC and vulnerability remediation.
• Build and scale internal mobile engineering capability through mentoring, hiring, onboarding and establishing communities of practice.
• Conduct code reviews, collaborate with solution architects and ensure architectural compliance with enterprise standards.
• Coordinate technical planning, releases and cross‑team dependencies, resolving production issues and integration bottlenecks.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of software engineering experience with a focus on mobile development.
• 3‑5 years in a technical lead or engineering lead role delivering enterprise‑scale mobile products.
• Proven track record of shipping iOS applications using Swift and Android applications using Kotlin.
