Network Technician

About the role

The Network Technician will support daily network operations within a data‑center environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network connectivity issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, VLANs and other network devices.
• Install, replace and rack‑mount network equipment in data centres and network rooms.
• Perform fiber and copper cabling, patching, labeling and cable management.
• Assist with network changes, maintenance activities, equipment relocation and de‑commissioning.
• Monitor network alerts and resolve technical issues within agreed SLAs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date network documentation, equipment records and change logs.
• Follow data‑center safety, access, security and change‑management procedures.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, vendors and other IT teams when required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Network Engineering, IT, Computer Networks or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in network operations or data‑center environments.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS and DHCP.
• CCNA certification is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
