Procurement Manager

About the role

Jumeirah, a global luxury hospitality brand, is looking for a Procurement Manager to join Jumeirah The Red Sea. The role manages the resort's procurement and delivery of all operational requirements, with a focus on quality, supplier performance and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the business through cost-effective procurement and delivery of resort requirements
• Scrutinize item quality and ensure purchase contracts meet company and local requirements
• Sourcing new products, comparing them and sampling where appropriate
• Monitor and respond to supplier performance, advise on business risks and implement corrective actions
• Attend daily morning briefings and purchasing-related meetings
• Identify cost and price reduction opportunities and propose revenue-generating initiatives
• Verify authorization of purchase requisitions and process and expedite purchase orders using the company's procurement system
• Ensure suppliers comply with company policy, negotiate the best deals and select and approve suppliers
• Supervise the Purchasing Supervisor and arrange air and sea shipment for overseas suppliers
• Handle supplier complaints and contribute to smooth resort operations

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry
• Very good command of spoken, written and reading English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Familiarity with the Materials Control System
• Computer literacy and strong MS Office skills
