Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the goods and services required by the organization. You will ensure cost‑efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships and compliance with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and validate purchase requisitions from internal departments.
• Identify qualified suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, and evaluate proposals based on price, quality, delivery time, and commercial terms.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders following company approval procedures.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Monitor order progress, resolve delivery delays, quality issues, and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
• Support vendor evaluation, performance assessment, and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, warehouse, and end‑users to meet business requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIPS is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply‑chain operations.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
