Production Planner

About the role

The Production Planner is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing schedules are accurate, feasible, and aligned with material availability. This role works closely with production, procurement, and project teams to translate planning data into actionable orders and to maintain the integrity of the ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Enter new item data, including make/buy decisions, lead times, and planner codes.
• Create and maintain build plans within the ERP system to support planning tools.
• Develop and manage planning Bill of Materials (BOMs) and associated resources.
• Convert Oracle Supply Planning (MRP) suggestions into purchase requisitions and manufacturing orders.
• Review MRP compression and exception messages, resolve conflicts, and communicate with production, project management, procurement, and the master scheduler.
• Participate in production meetings to monitor schedule adherence, ETA, and demand supply.
• Communicate material availability to the manufacturing team and highlight risks for timely issue resolution.
• Monitor daily ERP data to ensure material quantities meet order due dates.
• Maintain accurate master data and execute transactions promptly.
• Re‑prioritize planning activities to meet urgent deadlines and perform inventory checks.
• Represent the organization professionally and adhere to all company policies.
