Rescue Instructor

About the role

The Rescue Specialist Instructor delivers high‑quality training to helicopter rescue specialists, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with aviation standards. This position combines classroom instruction with hands‑on flight training, covering basic to advanced rescue and hoist techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct theoretical and practical training on helicopter rescue operations following approved syllabi, including Initial Rescue Specialist, Instructor Training, Live Hoist, and related courses.
• Develop, review, and update training materials, publications, syllabi, examinations, and instructional documents.
• Advise operational leadership on aircrew and rescue specialist training needs.
• Maintain accurate training records and files for all rescue specialists assigned to helicopter operations.
• Report to the General Directorate of Operations and work under organizational management.

Required profile

• Qualified Rescue Specialist Instructor through an accredited aviation or rescue organization.
• Minimum 1,000 total hoist‑related flight hours, including at least 500 hours of hoist training experience as an instructor.
• Experience in search and rescue hoist operations over land, water, and mountainous terrain; military aviation or rescue background preferred.
• Basic and Advanced Swimming certification from an accredited provider.
• Successful completion of required aviation medical examination, theoretical exam, practical evaluation, and technical interview.
