Road & Civil Inspector – Saudi National

About the role

The Roads & Civil Inspector will join the supervision team to monitor and inspect construction activities for roads, drainage, and storm‑water infrastructure. The role ensures that all works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor daily construction activities related to roads, storm‑water networks, and associated civil works.
• Verify that contractor works follow approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Conduct site inspections for earthworks, subgrade, asphalt, concrete, pipelines, manholes, culverts, and drainage structures.
• Check delivered materials against approved submittals.
• Review and witness testing activities such as compaction, concrete, and asphalt tests.
• Raise inspection reports and non‑conformance reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor progress, report delays or quality issues to the Resident Engineer.
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards and project safety procedures on site.
• Coordinate with contractor representatives, surveyors, and laboratory teams during inspections.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and photographic documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in construction supervision or inspection.
• Proven experience on roads, drainage, and storm‑water infrastructure projects.
• Previous work with engineering consultancy or supervision consultants.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, QA/QC procedures, and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with Saudi standards and municipal requirements is preferred.
