Roads Engineer – Full-time (m/f)

About the role

ARX is expanding its presence in the Middle East and seeks a Roads Engineer to join its Riyadh office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of road and highway projects, ensuring they meet local standards and integrate smoothly with other infrastructure disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee road and highway projects for various infrastructure programmes.
• Perform and review road geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment, grading and pavement design.
• Ensure all designs comply with Saudi Arabian regulations, standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate road systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans and documentation.
• Review technical deliverables from engineers, designers and BIM/CAD teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients and stakeholders to satisfy project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience on infrastructure projects with a focus on roads and highways.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of road and highway systems, including geometric, traffic, grading, intersections and pavement design.
