Security Operations Analyst

About the role

The Security Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of all security systems and equipment within the organization. This role involves daily monitoring, rapid issue resolution, and strict compliance with established security standards. By maintaining vigilant oversight, the analyst helps protect the organization’s assets, personnel, and information from potential threats. The role also includes documenting incidents and maintaining records of system performance to support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the functionalities of all security systems and equipment on a daily basis to detect any anomalies or performance issues.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to address and resolve system issues until they are fully resolved.
• Review security system specifications and verify their adherence to the approved reference standards defined by SANS.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established security procedures.
• Familiarity with SANS security standards and the importance of compliance.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with multiple departments.
