Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with company policies and regulations. This position requires strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently while supporting the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions, post journal entries, and reconcile the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities, prepare account reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies.
• Process supplier invoices, monitor accounts payable, issue customer invoices, and support collection activities.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations, monitor cash flows, and verify bank transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, assist in financial statement preparation, and provide analysis for management.
• Support VAT, ZATCA, and other tax reporting requirements, and assist with internal and external audits.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, record acquisitions/disposals, and support inventory counts.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, identify risks, and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience covering general ledger, AP/AR, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and Saudi Arabian tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and communicate findings clearly.
