Senior Arbor DDoS Security Subject Matter Expert

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Arbor DDoS Security Subject Matter Expert to operate and protect a major banking environment in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on administering Arbor AED and AEM platforms, detecting and mitigating DDoS attacks, and ensuring continuous availability of the protection infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Arbor AED and AEM platforms.
• Provide SME‑level support for DDoS detection, mitigation, and protection.
• Monitor DDoS events, traffic patterns, alerts and mitigation activities.
• Analyze network traffic and investigate DDoS‑related incidents.
• Troubleshoot complex network security and connectivity issues.
• Perform configuration changes, policy tuning and optimisation of Arbor platforms.
• Support incident response, root‑cause analysis and documentation.
• Collaborate with network, security, SOC and infrastructure teams.
• Integrate and troubleshoot across firewalls, load balancers and other security controls.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Arbor AED/AEM or NETSCOUT DDoS solutions in a production environment.
• Proven background in DDoS detection, mitigation and protection, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network security controls (firewalls, IPS, WAF, VPN, load balancers).
• Experience troubleshooting complex network traffic and security incidents using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, curl or netcat.
• Ability to work onsite in Jeddah and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
