Senior Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to lead design projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing the full design lifecycle for infrastructure works such as roads, tunnels, bridges and highways, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design from concept through construction completion, adhering to project requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including engineers, planners and landscape architects—to integrate designs into overall project plans.
• Develop and review architectural drawings, plans and specifications for accuracy, feasibility and constructability.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys and investigations to inform design decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design team members.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies to resolve technical issues and obtain approvals.
• Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and compliance with design specifications.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs and proposed design changes.
• Prepare design presentations, reports and documentation for stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of architectural design experience in the consultancy sector, with a focus on site supervision for infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional licensure or registration as an Architect is advantageous.
• Experience on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal abilities.
