Senior Design Manager

About the role

The Senior Design Manager – Architecture will lead the consultant‑led architectural design for one of Saudi Arabia’s largest mixed‑use development programmes. Reporting to the Design Director, you will ensure the architectural intent is maintained, coordinated and ready for construction across all project stages.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee architectural design and ensure full multidisciplinary integration with structural, MEP, landscape and infrastructure disciplines.
• Act as the primary coordination interface, resolving design clashes early and aligning all design outputs.
• Manage consultant engagement, verifying compliance with briefs, scopes of work, standards and technical requirements.
• Implement design governance, including change control and structured coordination reviews.
• Review multidisciplinary submissions for completeness, coordination and buildability.
• Lead design coordination meetings, track actions and resolve interface issues.
• Align design solutions with budgets, value targets and construction practicality.
• Monitor consultant performance and support procurement, tender evaluation and contract management.

Required profile

• Degree in architecture, engineering or a related design discipline (or equivalent qualification).
• Professional membership such as RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS or CIAT is preferred.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design coordination on large, complex projects.
