Senior Financial Controller – Hospitality (Hotels)

About the role

The Senior Financial Controller will lead financial control, analysis and performance monitoring for a hotel portfolio in Mecca. You will provide commercial insights, forecasting and profitability recommendations to senior management, ensuring the business meets its financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s financial control, budgeting, rolling forecasts and variance analysis.
• Analyse performance against budget, forecast, prior year and business plan, focusing on KPIs such as ADR, Occupancy, RevPAR, GOP, GOP Margin and departmental profitability.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities, and propose corrective actions to improve margins.
• Implement proactive cost‑control measures across F&B, payroll, utilities, purchasing and operating expenses.
• Monitor daily/weekly financial results, cash flow, working capital, receivables and inventory, providing early warnings to management.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, F&B, HR and Operations to optimise revenue and cost structures.
• Prepare management dashboards, financial reports and scenario analyses for the Executive Committee.
• Ensure internal controls, audit compliance and risk management are effective.
• Lead, coach and develop the Finance/Financial Control team.

Required profile

• Strong analytical capability with commercial acumen and attention to detail.
• Proven experience in financial controlling and management accounting within the hospitality sector.
• Ability to challenge operational decisions using data‑driven insights.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings to senior leadership.

• CPA, ACCA or CMA certification (preferred).
