Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team in Khobar. The role focuses on risk‑based audits across finance, procurement and operations, leveraging ERP data to strengthen controls and mitigate fraud.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk‑based internal audits covering finance, procurement and operational processes.
• Conduct end‑to‑end audit activities: fieldwork, testing, documentation and reporting.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls, identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Perform process walkthroughs, control testing and assess compliance with IFRS and GIAS‑2024 standards.
• Identify process inefficiencies, fraud risks and control weaknesses.
• Support risk assessment and annual audit planning for the department.
• Develop risk control matrices and maintain comprehensive audit working papers.
• Prepare clear audit reports with actionable recommendations and follow up on remediation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote risk awareness and a strong control culture.
• Utilise ERP reports and data‑analysis tools to enhance audit coverage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of experience in internal audit, external audit or risk advisory.
• Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA (preferred).
• Experience in a Big 4 or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, IFRS and global audit standards.
• Ability to travel independently across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Required skills

• Oracle Fusion (GL, AP, AR, Order Management, Supply Chain) or SAP.
• Data‑analysis tools: Excel, Power BI, ACL.
• Knowledge of IFRS and GIAS‑2024.
• Understanding of Segregation of Duties (SoD) and IT access controls.
